Admission criteria and procedure

1. Read the admission requirements

English language proficiency at least at level B2 is required.
This requirement is considered fulfilled for candidates holding a valid certification (issued no more than three years prior to submission).

Did you get your degree abroad?

Candidates holding a non-EU degree must:

  1. Apply via the UnigeApply portal (no other application methods will be accepted), declaring: final degree grade (corresponding to at least 80% of the maximum achievable grade, a mandatory requirement); knowledge of Italian; and English proficiency (B2 certification);

Graduates who have obtained a Bachelor's degree in class L-18 (Economics and Business Management) or L-33 (Economics), or an equivalent qualification, with a final grade of 99/110 or higher, and who have an English language proficiency of at least B2 level, are considered to meet the curricular requirements and are therefore exempt from the personal preparation assessment.

    The test is considered passed with a score of at least 18/30.
    The same rule applies to graduates from other universities in the same degree classes (L-18, L-33): in these cases, applicants must send a self-certification of their exams and final grade to valutazionedeirequisiti@economia.unige.it, specifying the program of interest in the subject line.

  • For graduates with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in other classes, two tests are required: one to assess basic knowledge (Module 1) and one to assess personal preparation (Module 2).

  • Graduates from the old system (prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99) and graduates of single-cycle degree programs must request an assessment of their academic record in order to define their enrollment conditions
