What it is

The assessment of the adequacy of personal preparation is meant to ascertain the possession of the necessary basic specialist knowledge for admission to the course.

What the verification consists of

How to access

To support the assessment of the graduate’s personal preparedness you must complete the pre-enrolment so that you appear on the lists of students required to sit the assessment.

Subsequently, if you pass the assessment, you must confirm your enrolment.

There is no charge for pre-enrolment and the assessment test  Payment of the enrolment fee and the regional tax is due upon confirmation of enrolment.

N.B.: Pre-enrolment and the assessment of your academic readiness are free of charge. Payment of the enrolment fee and the regional fee is due upon confirmation of enrolment.

How it works

If you are not a UniGe graduate, you will need to upload the following documentation relating to your academic career via the ServizioOnline portal :

  • degree certificate including a list of examinations taken (transcript of records)
  • brief description of the university where the bachelor’s degree was obtained
  • cover letter
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • letters of recommendation (not compulsory)
  • for international applicants only: Certificate of proficiency in Italian at B2 level. If you do not have this certification, you will be required to sit an individual interview to assess your knowledge of the Italian language

The outcome of the assessment may be ‘pass’ or ‘fail’.

Where and when

During the pre-enrolment phase, students will be asked to provide a date for the verification process; this is not an exam, but an indicative date for the office responsible for verifying the documentation. Even if you are exempt from the individual preparation assessment, the system may still request this date.
