What is To be eligible to sit the degree examination, you must have earned all the credits required under the academic regulations for your degree programme. The degree examination consists of the defence, before an examination board, of a dissertation on one or more subjects included in your study programme, under the supervision of a principal supervisor and a co-supervisor.You may write the dissertation:in the language of your specialisation, with an abstract in Italianin Italian, with an abstract translated into the language of your specialisationYou will defend your thesis partly in Italian and partly in the foreign language.

Complete the graduation application online4. Complete the AlmaLaurea questionnaire online5. If you have any books on loan, return them to the library6. Complete the evaluation questionnaire for your degree programmeRemember to:Check that you are up to date with fee paymentsPay the stamp duty of €16 for the issue of your degree certificate (payable via the online services – payment of fees and contributions)Check that you have sat all the exams and learning activitiesCheck that they are all recorded on your online academic record by the deadline for your degree application. Failure to register your exams and other learning activities does not prevent you from completing and confirming your documents online.However, in order to graduate, you will need to check that everything has been registered online. If you are enrolled on the 24 CFU programme, check whether you are eligible for an additional semester so that you can submit your degree application for the previous academic year, by contacting the One-Stop Shop for Humanities Students. Postponing your graduation application from one session to another does not happen automatically. You must therefore submit a request to the Student Services Desk If your degree application has not been approved online by your supervisor, you must submit by email the hard copy signed by your supervisor. Thesis title deposit If you are a final-year student, you must upload the thesis title submission form to the dedicated Aulaweb area via the following link: https://2025.aulaweb.unige.it/course/view.php?id=6555 at least six months in advance of the session chosen for the defence. Delivery of the thesis and digital paper By the deadlines set out below, you must submit:to the supervisor and co-supervisor of the thesis, a hard copy of the thesis signed by you on the title pageto the Teaching Support office of the department (segreterialingue@unige.it):the declaration confirming the submission and authenticity of the final thesis, signed by the candidate, the main supervisor and the co-supervisor
