Read the admission requirements It is a prerequisite for admission to the Master's Degree in Intercultural Languages and Communication for Institutions and Business: achievement of a three-year degree or a three-year university degree four-year degree a single-cycle degree any other qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable under current regulations It is also necessary that: the student holds one of the qualifications listed below including, where specified, the relevant curricular requirements; that this qualification is obtained within the deadlines indicated by the University;. the student is competent at the required language level in both languages of specialisation; the student passes the personal preparation test envisaged for all matriculating students, normally for both languages/languages/literatures of specialisation Course enrolment may be carried out within the deadlines indicated by the University. a. Curricular Requirements To access the LM 38 course of study, students are required to have one of the following degrees Degree from classes L-11 and L-12 ex-DM 270; Graduation classes 3 and 11 ex-DM 509; Four-year degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures University Diploma for Translators and Interpreters recognised as equivalent to a class 3 degree. The following graduates are also admitted: of other classes (ex-DM 270 and ex-DM 509 systems, old four-year degrees, degrees awarded at foreign universities and officially recognised as equivalent) who have the necessary basic knowledge and skills in the literature and linguistics of the languages they intend to study (verifiable by means of an appropriate test) and have acquired at least 30 CFU in total in the scientific-disciplinary fields of languages, linguistics and foreign literatures and at least 30 CFU overall in any of the ssds of the disciplines of history, geography, sociology, anthropology, economics, law, or 60 CFU in the disciplines of Languages, Linguistics, Histories of Languages, Foreign Literatures and Cultures, Philological and Comparative Disciplines. Level of language skills required for admission to the course The level of language proficiency required for admission to study in both languages of specialisation is: Level C1: for French, for English, Spanish Level B2: for Arabic, for Chinese, for Russian, German If you are a student whose mother tongue is not Italian and you have graduated from a foreign university, you will also have to prove your knowledge of Italian at level C1 in order to be enrolled. Even if you have a certificate (CILS, CELI, PLIDA IT), you will have to take and pass the appropriate test at UniGe's School of Italian Language and Culture for Foreign Students before you can finalise your enrolment. Assessment of the possession of curricular requirements: presentation modalities Assessment of fulfilment of the curricular requirements must be requested by all students who intend to take the admission test to enrol in the Course. Assessment of the possession of the curricular requirements must be requested by sending the self-certification downloaded from the website or scans of the degree certificate with the list of examinations taken, relative credits and SSDs to segreterialingue@unige.it N.B.You can apply for assessment of curricular requirements even if you are an undergraduate, as long as you have passed all the language exams and graduate by February.
2. Register and pre-register To register, you need to go through the online procedure, which includes registration and pre-registration (see the TUTORIAL). UniGe Portal Registration If you have never been enrolled at the University of Genoa, access the UniGe Portal and obtain your UniGePASS credentials.. Pre-registration Make apply for pre-registration using the UniGePASS credentials received with your registration. You can apply for pre-enrolment even if you have yet to graduate or, if you are a graduate, even before applying for verification of the curricular requirements or before receiving the outcome of the same.
