Presentation
The degree course is aimed at training the social worker as a professional figure capable of working with competence and responsibility in the social services of the state, local authorities, the third sector, and public and private organizations. It aims to provide students with the cultural and scientific methods and content required by the professional area of social service.

The social worker
The social worker is a professional figure capable of working with competence and responsibility in the social services of the state, local authorities, the third sector, public and private organizations.
The course provides the cultural and scientific methods and content required to work in the social area. In particular, it aims to provide the skills necessary to
- prevent and resolve problematic situations and distress of individuals, groups and communities in the context of the organized system of social resources
- promote and coordinate new resources, including volunteer resources, in order to plan and implement integrated interventions between various areas
- perform tasks of management, organization and planning of social services and contribute to the dissemination and management of information on services, users' rights, accompaniment of individuals in difficulty. .
The teaching organization provides for the integration of the different disciplines dealing with problematic situations and social distress: sociological, ethical-philosophical, legal-economic, psychological and medical. Moreover, from the first year of the course, it combines theoretical moments with intensive internship activities.
