Why Civil and Environmental Engineering?

The Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering provides a mastery of the methods and general scientific content of civil engineering, which allows to increase and update the preparation, adapting it to the constant scientific and technological evolution. It also enables the acquisition of the technical and professional skills necessary to operate immediately in the world of work, in particular for:

  • design, construction and maintenance of civil works, infrastructure and facilities
  • design, planning and management of works and systems for environmental and land control and monitoring
  • management and control of services of companies active in the civil and environmental sectors.
  • .

In the first year priority is given to the mathematical, physicochemical and computer science foundations, preparatory to the disciplines of the following years; there are also teachings in the area of engineering proper, such as Technical Drawing and Geomatics.

In the second year you will acquire basic transversal engineering knowledge and address teaching modules typical of Civil and Environmental Engineering, such as Construction Science, Hydraulics, Technical Architecture.

In the third year you will delve into topics characterizing Civil and Environmental Engineering, such as Construction Technology, Geotechnics, Infrastructure, Hydraulic Construction, Urban Planning, Transportation Systems and more specific and characterizing topics, freely chosen.

The final test, which consists of the discussion of a short written paper generally of a design type, will enable you to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in practice.

With the Erasmus program you can carry out part of your studies abroad, using University scholarships stipulated by the degree program with other locations.
