Final project

To be admitted to the final examination, you must have regularly attended the educational activities and earned the credits required by the regulations.

Cos'è 

The final examination consists of the presentation of a thesis paper before a committee.

Guided by a thesis advisor, you will have to demonstrate your ability to investigate a specific topic from among those covered in your course of study or deal with the experience of your internship training.

You will have to agree on the topic with the thesis advisor and submit the title of the thesis at least 5 months before the date of delivery of the paper to the lecturer.

Guidato da un relatore, dovrai dimostrare la tua capacità di approfondire un tema specifico tra quelli affrontati nel tuo corso di studio oppure trattare dell'esperienza del tuo tirocinio formativo.

Dovrai concordare l'argomento con il relatore e consegnare il titolo della tesi almeno 5 mesi prima della data di consegna dell'elaborato al docente.

 

 

What to do to graduate

If you are an undergraduate, you must:

  1. Deposit the title of your thesis
  2. Choose the degree session
  3. .
  4. Fill out the AlmaLaurea questionnaire online
  5. Fill out the degree application online
  6. .
  7. In case you have books on loan, return them to the library
  8. .
  9. Fill out the assessment questionnaire for your degree.
  10. .

Remember:

  1. Check that you are current on your tax payments
  2. .
  3. Pay the stamp duty of € 16 for the issuance of the degree certificate (payable via the online services - payment of fees and contributions)
  4. .
  5. Check that you have taken all the exams and educational activities
  6. Check that they are all marked on your online career no later than 15 days before the date of your graduation session

Evaluation

Your paper is reviewed by a graduate committee, which evaluates it with a score in hundredths. The committee, appointed by the Department Director, has a maximum of 6 points available to add to the weighted and rounded average of your exam grades (expressed in hundredths).

Of these 6 points:

  • 1 point is awarded ex officio if you are a current graduate
  • 1 point is awarded ex officio if you have at least 3 exams in your curriculum passed with top marks and honors
  • 1 additional point can be awarded if you have at least 6 exams in your curriculum passed with top marks and honors
  • the remaining 3 points are available to the committee, which awards them based on the evaluation of the paper

If you spent a period of study abroad under the Erasmus program, you will also be awarded in the calculation of your graduation grade:

  • 1 point if you have finished your studies within the first year out of the program, provided that during Erasmus you have earned at least 12 CFUs
  • 2 points if you have finished the study abroad program in progress, provided that during Erasmus you have earned at least 12 CFUs
