The new Euclid Space Telescope has departed from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, to deep space to study dark matter and energy.
Attending the launch was also UniGe with Ilaria Risso, a doctoral student in physics, who is doing her thesis doctoral research in the Euclid experiment.
