What you will study

The course consists of 17 Integrated Courses (6 in the first year, 6 in the second year and 5 in the third year) and 3 Internships, for a total of 20 teachings.

The 180 cfu are distributed:

The course promotes educational growth in all areas of developmental neuropsychomotricity for various childhood neuropsychiatric disorders.

Participation in the follow-up of preterm births and counselling for parents is offered; in these activities attention is paid to the early emergence of developmental irregularities and deviances and the prompt treatment of them.

The diagnosis and setting of the therapeutic program of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders follow international canons, which emphasize early neuropsychomotor work on intersubjectivity, the construction of individualized psychoeducational pathways, underlying neuropsychological dysfunctions, and the contribution of peculiar methodologies such as Augmentative Communication and the use of computerized technologies.

In the field of Infantile Cerebral Palsy (PCI), functional assessment and polyspecialist evaluation form the basis for therapeutic decisions by the Institute's PCI Interdisciplinary Group; they are carried out with a methodology in step with international experiences.

Interventions with Complementary Therapies, such as for example, dance therapy and art therapy, and with Advanced Technologies, involving the use of computers and tablets, with dedicated softwere, constitute a complement to conventional treatments in various settings, especially in the most problematic psychopathological and cognitive disorders.

The specific focus on Working with Families provides targeted training from the perspective of Family Centered Therapy, with the centrality of the needs of the individual and his or her family.
