TEACHING METHODS The course consists in a) critical lectures on the main literary and historical themes of Spanish literature (XVII-XIX); b) close-reading of texts related to the course-theme, in order to apply historical-critical methodologies. SYLLABUS/CONTENT " Los extravagantes hijos de mi fantasía" Monsters, music, affects and feeling in the Spanish Romanticism: new models of lyrical invention related to their European contemporaries and the Spanish Lyrical Tradition (Fernando de Herrera, Luis de León, Garcilaso, Góngora, Quevedo and José Cadalso). ASSESSMENT METHODS The evaluation of the test will depend on the mastery of analytical and historiographical methods and on the personal capacity for their application.
