Presentation
The course, building on the knowledge acquired during the course "Introduction to Moral Philosophy", will offer a more thorough study of topics and features of moral philosophy; it will encourage students to read and interpret classics and to engage in rigorous discussion of the addressed topics.
Being able to present the main currents and topics of moral philosophy: the problem of freedom, the origin of Evil, and the nature of Good, human conduct, principles, mobiles and purpose of actions, the concepts of virtue and happiness, relative or absolute nature of values. Learning to actively understand classics of moral philosophy, through interpretation of texts written by ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary philosophers.
Students will perfect their knowledge of classics and main topics of moral philosophy through discussion and reference to texts and discussion.
