AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the knowledge of the basic rules and documents concerning the shipping field, particularly with reference to the ships and the navigational system regulations, as well as the modern uses of the vessels - including specific focus on some items such as safety and security in the navigation and maritime carriages of goods and containers - through an analysis of the relevant national, international and EC Laws and Rules. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES It’s assumed that at the end of the Course students will be acquainted with the fundamental principles of Maritime and Shipping Law and will be able to elaborate them, having reached a good knowledge of the relevant legal problems and a skill to come to concrete solutions. It’s also assumed that students shall be able to communicate their knowledges and results in a clear way and that they shall be able to develop and implement their knowledges on the proposed items by themselves.
