AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Knowledge and understanding - describe and recognize Social Work models and their main characteristics and interview techniques - understand the Social Work method phases - know the Social Work interview - identify the Social Work documentation - recognize the fundamental elements of a service organisation Skills and abilities - analyze and assess Social Work cases - consider and apply method phases - reason about cases and their network - develop a competent professional language - conduct the starting phase of an interview PREREQUISITES knowledge of Social Work ethics basic knowldege of Social Work subjects TEACHING METHODS The professor promotes participation through frontal lessons, individual and dyadic work, group-works and role-playing. Every year a non mandatory visit to social agencies is proposed to students. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The concept of method, model and Social Work tools The concept of need, request, resource and risk Social Work models: client centered, Task Centered (TCM) and Systemic Social Work method and phases Social Work interview, setting, conduction and preliminary experiences and techniques Social Work assessment of cases Professional documentation and records The digital realm and his influence on social work methods RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY see Italian wersion. One question will focus on the evaluation of a case (on written paper) based on the knowledge acquired during the course.
