AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

LEARNING OBJECTIVES (DETAIL)The course aims to enable students to tackle the solution of physics problems in quantitative terms. It requires the student to follow online lessons, understand the topics of the related slides, and solve preparatory and self-assessment exercises.Students can improve their ability to solve simple physics exercises even by following streaming lessons.Expected learning outcomes: the student should learn the main elements of mechanics, thermology and thermodynamics, electricity, wave phenomena, and light, and be able to interpret them through solving quizzes and simple numerical exercises.EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:the student should be able to explain and apply the main elements of mechanics, thermology and thermodynamics, electricity, wave phenomena, and light. They should be able to apply conceptual knowledge for solving quizzes and simple numerical exercises. Using the recommended lessons and texts, the student should be able to compare the basic notions of Physics with other scientific disciplines and evaluate the applications in their professional field. The deduction of physical laws will be limited to a few simple examples.

TEACHING METHODS

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The exam is taken at the level of the integrated course. The assessment of learning for the specific teaching is carried out through multiple-choice quizzes.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The proposed quizzes are aimed at verifying that the student has understood the fundamental concepts of the course and can process and apply them both in answering specific questions on the topics and in numerical applications.Ten quiz questions are proposed, each with four possible answers, only one of which is correct. Each correct answer is rewarded with the maximum score, and no penalty is given for incorrect answers. The grade is then converted into a score out of thirty and contributes to the weighted average with the grades obtained in other subjects of the integrated course. Intermediate evaluations are not possible due to the nature of the quiz.

FURTHER INFORMATION

The student will have to complete the training course to obtain the badge that will allow them to take the exam. The exam must be booked, and the student must bring their own calculator or use the one available online.
