AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The module "Components and systems for the electricity production" provides the theoretical and methodological skills necessary for understanding the most relevant problems of the components present in modern electrical systems for energy, with particular reference to the integration of renewable sources. The "Systems for energy and environment" module provides an updated picture of traditional and innovative energy production plants with particular regard to the reduction of polluting emissions and the increase in conversion efficiency. PREREQUISITES Even if there are no prerequisite constraints, the following basic knowledge is necessary to effectively address the contents of the course: Applied Thermodynamics and Energy Systems. EXAMS EXAM DESCRIPTION For the module "Components and systems for the electricity production" the exam consists of a written exercise at the end of which an oral test will be carried out. For the module "Systems for energy and environment" the evaluation of the reports (exercises carried out in groups) will be followed by an oral exam. Students with a certified learning disability (DSA), a disability, or other special educational needs are invited to contact the instructor at the beginning of the course to discuss teaching and examination arrangements that, while respecting the learning objectives of the course, take individual learning needs into account and provide appropriate accommodations. For the "Systems for energy and environment" the exercise reports will be evaluated in thirtieths. The exam will end with an oral test. For further details, see the parts related to the two modules.
