LEARNING OUTCOMES

Observation and assessment of the person with the following problems: • Immobility: mobilization, hygienic care, prevention of pressure ulcers due to decubitus / contact • Pressure ulcers: the extent of the problem, local and systemic factors favoring the onset, the identification of patients at risk: Norton Scale, Norton plus, Knoll. Staging of lesions: N.P.U.A.P classification, SHEA classification; evaluation of the lesion: surface extension, depth, volume. Treatment of pressure ulcers • Cardiovascular disorders (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) • Temperature control, the temperature control process, changes in body temperature, Temperature curve, providing nursing care to a person with a temperature • Diuresis and micturition disorders. Caring for people with a bladder catheter • Gastrointestinal disorders: factors that influence bowel movement, stool features, bowel disorders (constipation-diarrhoea). • Feeding: factors affecting the satisfaction of eating / hydration needs, nutrition assessment, measuring height and weight, monitoring the fluid and electrolyte balance. Meals in hospital: preparing the environment, health workers, the person. Artificial nutrition (basic notions). Emesis.
