OVERVIEW

The Course is designed to provide students a solid knowledge about Unit Operatons employed in gas solis separation (with particular reference to particle removal from atmospheric emission) and heat transfert equipment

TEACHING METHODS

Lecture classroom Learning activities include problems that students have to resolve independently with the assistance of  the teacher. During the lectures, students are stimulated and involved in individual or collective discussions on the various topics addressed in teaching to foster communication skills and interact more profitably with the teacher and evaluate the state of learning

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Particle Collection Mechanisms, Gravity and inertial separators, Fabric Filter, Elecrtostatic precipitators, Wet Scrubbers.

Heat tansfert: Fundamentals, Type of  heat exchanger, design criteria, The e-NTU, and MTD Methods,  Condensation, Boiling, Furnaces
