AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim of the course is to provide a set of tools to tackle topics that require mathematical methods and tools. PREREQUISITES The student is expected to have a basic knowledge of mathematics topics covered in secondary school with particular reference to algebra of polynomials, equations, inequalities, principles of Euclidean geometry (areas and volumes of elementary geometric figures).
