    LEARNING OUTCOMES

The training objectives it sets are:- the deepening of motivation for social work - the deepening of the deontological content of the profession - the initiation of the formation of professional identity - an initial knowledge of the main territorial Social Services. The course is structured in didactic units supplemented by classroom laboratory activities to foster the connection between theory and practice through the first experiment of the working group instrument.

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student, upon completion of the course, should have initial knowledge of the main professional tools and the regulatory framework that supports professional practice, with particular reference to the code of ethics and the organization of services.

    TEACHING METHODS

Classes are conducted both in a face-to-face manner and through individual, group and role-playing laboratory activities. The training is supplemented by meetings with social service professionals from different organizational contexts, with the use of documentary material and the support of AulaWeb.
Classroom exercises are offered and the lecturer is available for individual orientation interviews and external visits (optional).

    SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The internship workshop takes place in the classroom and is preparatory to the subsequent internship in the services. The course initiates the process of learning from experience through an initial approach to the content of the social work profession. The student is invited to: - Reflect on personal motivations and expectations related to the choice of study - Delve into the deontological and ethical contents of the profession, also with reference to the use of professional tools, a greater awareness of one's own communication methods and the complexity of writing and documenting. - Experiencing learning and teamwork - Initiating the construction of one's professional identity. Students are required to acquire knowledge related to some of the services in which internships take place (purpose, regulatory framework, tools and elements of organizational culture) and the system of services in relation to formal and informal networks in the territory. The basic tools of the profession are also presented: the interview and group work, which will be explored later in the Social Service Methods and Techniques course. The method of work adopted in the classroom requires and encourages the active participation of students and promotes a reflective approach to the experiences carried out in the classroom as well as the reworking of the content conveyed by the professional and curricular subjects.
