This would be a guided work group, in which the students of both countries would interact actively. Development/commitment: 1) attending German courses, on an intensive level in the L2 country with the tutor Cramer (24 hours in total in Augsburg). The host faculty will provide only available facilities (room, library...); 2) attending courses at the University of Augsburg, either in the host language or in English, in order to learn about a different European education system; 3) eventually visiting local industries 4) doing a final written and oral exam at the end of the stay, with the possibility of obtaining up to 3 credit points PREREQUISITES All students of the three year degree courses and post-graduate courses are accepted, even if they only have a basic knowledge of the language. In case of a large number of applications, selection will be made on the basis of the average marks of the examinations taken. Passing the written test grants admission to the oral test. The written test is based on a grammar test with multiple-choice and open-ended questions a reading comprehension test with multiple-choice questions The oral test is intended to test knowledge of the programme test the ability to discuss the German reality experienced ASSESSMENT METHODS Assessment is based on the following: Understanding questions Knowledge of content, overall and in detail Clarity and paraphrasing skills Specialist knowledge Grammar and syntax skills and pronunciation FURTHER INFORMATION Students with Specific Learning Difficulties should contact the course lecturer to establish any adjustments that need to be made to support the student in accessing the course and preparing for the final exam.
