AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES By means of theoretical bases and project-based learning, devise methodologies for developing an Integrated Product Support project. Starting from the definition of the functional breakdown, through the definition of maintenance and operational policies, develop the main related logistic studies to design the engineering processes for the operational support of a complex system AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES IPS & LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT The main purpose of the course is to provide, through theoretical foundations and project-based learning, the knowledge of the methodologies necessary for the development of an Integrated Product Support project. Starting from the definition of the functional breakdown and associated logistic studies of a complex system, apply the specifications to structure and produce the logistic data according to the standard. The theoretical-practical laboratory aims to enable the student to acquire basic knowledge on the specifications and production processes of logistics data. Attendance and active participation in lectures/laboratory activities together with individual study will allow the student to: - know the process and the specifications applied to the Integrated Product Support activities of a complex system during its life cycle. - apply rules and concepts designed to structure logistic data and understand their integration. - acquire correct technical terminology to describe methods, processes and rules for the production of logistic data. PREREQUISITES No particular prerequisites required TEACHING METHODS The course consists of 12 lessons, of 4 hours each, where laboratory parts are included, for a total of 48 hours. The laboratory activities will alternate with the theoretical part putting into practice the concepts studied. There are no group laboratory activities, each student will work individually on his own personal project. SYLLABUS/CONTENT 1. Introduction to the IPS & LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT course. 2. Definition and description of the Integrated Product Support and the Life Cycle of a complex system. 3. Introduction to S-Series specifications and the logistics data production process. 4. Introduction to the SIMPLICIO SW for the management and production of logistic data. 5. Description of the S3000L - LSA specification (theory and practice). 6. Description of the S2000M - Materials specification (theory and practice). 7. Description of the S1000D - Documentation specification (theory and practice). 8. Introduction and overview of the remaining specifications of the S-Series. RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY All the slides used during the lessons are available on aul@web. In general, the notes taken during the lessons and the material on aul@web are sufficient for the preparation of the exam. LESSONS LESSONS START https://corsi.unige.it/en/corsi/9269 Class schedule The timetable for this course is available here: Portale EasyAcademy EXAMS EXAM DESCRIPTION The exam consists of a single oral part of about 30 minutes consisting only of open questions. There will be 3 exam dates available for the summer session (June, July and September). Extraordinary exam sessions will not be granted outside the periods indicated in the study course regulations, with the exception of out-of-course students. ASSESSMENT METHODS The oral exam will focus exclusively on the topics covered during the lessons and will aim to evaluate the achievement of an adequate level of knowledge by the student.
