The student must be able to understand the purpose and procedures for performing: swabs colposcopy (biopsy) hysteroscopy The student must be able to: understand the organization of a termination of pregnancy (TOP) service and the midwife's responsibilities, as well as the procedures related to the application of Law 194 before and after the 90th day use personal protective equipment (PPE) and correctly dispose of medical waste identify the main gynecological pathologies identify the procedures for preparing surgical and gynecological patients understand the operating room safety checklist monitor, dress, and remove surgical wound stitches identify and assist in the main diagnostic procedures, understand the different types of ultrasound exams, and assist during ultrasound examinations understand the medical records and nursing documentation, record clinical data and care provided, and complete administrative and bureaucratic procedures (e.g., privacy and consent forms) TEACHING METHODS The course is structured in lectures during which the teacher will present the theoretical content. Students will be given the opportunity to engage in open and constructive discussion. Role-playing will be used for certain topics. Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), disabilities, or other educational needs are encouraged to contact the instructor and the School/Department’s disability coordinator to arrange any necessary teaching accommodations.
