Upon completing their study of the physiology and clinical aspects of the puerperium, the student will be able to critically analyze the care process during this period, understand the role of the midwife, and establish an effective helping relationship within this context. They will also be equipped to apply evidence-based problem-solving approaches to address the specific needs that arise during the puerperium.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the physiological changes in the genital tract during childbirth and the puerperium. Acquire in-depth knowledge of evidence-based care techniques related to labor, the puerperium, and neonatal management, with the ability to identify deviations from normal clinical patterns. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the defining characteristics of a healthy newborn.
