The Course "Metodi e Tecniche del Servizio Sociale I" promotes a prior understanding and knowledge of Social Work methods and models introducing students into the experience of supporting people (individuals, groups, families and communities) in their lives.

The professor promotes participation through frontal lessons, individual and dyadic work, group-works and role-playing. Every year a non mandatory visit to social agencies is proposed to students.

The course examination consists of an oral exam.
One question will focus on the evaluation of a case (on written paper) based on the knowledge acquired during the course.
Students who have valid certification of disability or Specific Learning Desorders (DSA) on file with the University may request the use of compensatory measures during the exams (e.g. additional time, concept maps, modifications in the written/oral mode), following the guidelines (p. 5) published here.
