AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The purpose of the teaching is to provide essential mathematical knowledge in applied sciences that serves as a foundation for other courses requiring mathematical methods and tools. The activities are aimed at presenting basic concepts and methodologies for linear algebra and analytic geometry. The student should be able to study solutions of simple linear systems, discussing the existence of solutions, and solve simple problems of geometry in space by exploiting the characteristics of perpendicularity and parallelism between lines and planes.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Students who have valid certification of physical or learning disabilities on file with the University and who wish to discuss possible accommodations or other circumstances regarding lectures, coursework and exams, should speak both with the instructor and with Professor Federico Scarpa (federico.scarpa@unige.it), the Polytechnic School's disability liaison.
