Admission criteria and procedure

Prerequisites

You can only enter this course if you have earned a bachelor's degree or equivalent (pre-doctoral degree, university diploma - 3 years, direct school for special purposes - 3 years) and if you meet the specific requirements.

Curricular requirements

To enter the Master's Degree in Philosophical Methodologies you must have at least 60 CFUs in the subject areas M-FIL, M-PED, M-PSI, M-STO, M-DEA, FIL-, L-LET, L-ART, SPS, including at least 18 CFUs in the macro field M-FIL.

If you do not meet these requirements you can earn the required credits through individual exams to be taken before enrolling in the master's degree.

You must be proficient in English or another language (sufficient to read language texts used in the various teachings) and have a basic knowledge of computer science.

If you do not meet the minimum requirements you will have to obtain them before enrolling.

2. Register and pre-register

To register, you need to go through the online procedure, which includes registration and pre-registration (see the TUTORIAL).

UniGe Portal Registration

If you have never been enrolled at the University of Genoa, access the UniGe Portal and obtain your UniGePASS credentials.

Pre-registration

Make apply for pre-registration using the UniGePASS credentials received with your registration.

You can apply for pre-enrolment even if you have yet to graduate or, if you are a graduate, even before applying for verification of the curricular requirements or before receiving the outcome of the same.

Take the English test

As indicated on the page English Project Freshmen - CLAT Language Skills Development, in the first year there is a Assessment Test for those who do not present B1 level certification or higher.

The test corresponds to the teaching code 53394 English Language Proficiency Test, to be included in the syllabus. The English Language Proficiency Test is compulsory for freshmen in Conservation of Cultural Heritage, while freshmen in Philosophy, Humanities and History  may take the test in one of the other languages provided (FrenchSpanishGerman).
