Dissertations To obtain the Master’s degree in EMMP, students are required to pass a final examination consisting of the presentation and discussion of a thesis before an appointed Examination Board. The Board shall comprise at least five members, including the Chair, and shall include the Supervisor and the Co-supervisor.Students may choose their Supervisor from among any faculty member of the Department of Economics, provided that the faculty member teaches a course belonging to a scientific-disciplinary area included in the student’s Master’s study plan. If the student has not taken any examination with the selected faculty member during the Master’s programme, prior authorisation must be obtained from the Programme Coordinator. As a rule, the thesis is written in Italian. However, the Supervisor may decide that the thesis be written in English, with an abstract in Italian, if the Supervisor teaches a course delivered in English or if there are well-founded scientific reasons for doing so.The discussion of a thesis written in English shall take place in Italian, except in exceptional cases where it may be conducted in English upon a reasoned proposal by the Supervisor, after consultation with the Co-supervisor, and subject to the approval of the Programme Coordinator and the Chair of the Degree Examination Board. For further information on:the calendar of graduation sessions and the relevant deadlines, please visit this webpage;enrolment procedures and administrative requirements, thesis requirements, presentation and discussion procedures, the criteria for assessing students’ academic records, and the allocation of the final degree mark, please visit this webpage, where a dedicated guide to Master’s degree theses is also available.
