Copertina di default

Introduced in the wake of the recognition of the Italian Sign Language (LIS) by the Italian state, this second basic workshop aims to bring those who will participate closer to the world of LIS; a world in which communication passes through a channel very different from the one we usually associate with (spoken) languages: the visual-gestural channel.

IThe workshop will last 28 hours total, broken down as follows: 24 hours with a hearing faculty member (Professor Danilo Monteverde: Thursdays 2-5 pm:30 [with the exception of the last one], with a few weeks' break between some lectures), in which they will work, both theoretically and practically,on some lexical and syntactic aspects of LIS, on expressiveness and on the management of "sign space"-an element of first importance for the correct learning of LIS, 2hours with a deaf lecturer (Professor Carlo Di Biase) and 2 hours with a distinguished lecturer who is an expert in LIS linguistics (Professor Laura Mazzoni) - all meetings will be held, as far as possible, in the above time slot.

.

For more details regarding the schedule of lectures, see the annex to this notice. It is noted that the lectures will be held in Lecture Hall A of the Teaching Pole.

.

The workshop will entitle students to 2 CFUs*, for the attainment of which it will be necessary to participate assiduously and actively in the lectures as well as work independently in order to assimilate the proposed content (the lecturer reserves the right to schedule in-progress verifications).

.

The final test will consist of a short in-person video/examination aimed at conferring eligibility and, therefore, CFUs (for those who need them).

.

The places available are 60 and will be assigned according to the order of registration.

.

To enroll, please click here (please note: only entries from DLCM, DAFIST and DIRAAS will be accepted). As soon as the maximum number of registrations is reached, confirmation emails will be sent.

.

It is recommended, however, that you register only in case you feel that you will be able to follow the lectures assiduously and actively (keep in mind that there is the possibility for the lecturer to activate a connection via Teams). In this regard, the lecturer reserves the right to conduct interviews should he or she deem it necessary.

.

For any doubts regarding the compilation of study plans, please contact the relevant Secretariat directly.

.

*The workshop is open to all DLCM, DAFIST and DIRAAS students, but the 2 CFUs will be recognized exclusively for the DLCM CdS as well as for the Philosophy CdS, History, Philosophical Methodologies, Historical Sciences and Modern Literature and Performance (the latter CdS will recognize only 1 CFU).
