Committees and delegates

Course Council Coordinator

It is in charge of:

  • carrying out all the functions assigned by the University Statute and the University Teaching Regulations
  • convoking the CCS and bringing for approval the SUA-CdS, SMA, RCRs
  • communicating to the CCS the results of all the activities carried out by the Commissions and the various activity managers

  • review periodically, with the Teaching Committee and the CdS Curricula Referees (Prof.ssa Adriana Ghersi for cv landscape architecture, Prof. Enrico Dassori for cv construction engineering) in consultation with colleagues in the scientific disciplinary areas involved and consulting with the Student Representatives, the training course based on the data and indications derived from the monitoring activities and organize its delivery, also taking into account the needs of facilities and services in accordance with the Director of DAD

The Course of Study (CdS) is equipped with a Quality Assurance (QA) system to keep management processes under control.

The Course of Study operates with and within the structures and organizational arrangements of the Department of Architecture and Design to which are entrusted the functions listed below:

Course of Study QA Committee

  • identify the training demand and training objectives
  • develop the training course

It is responsible for:

  • compiling and updating within the established deadlines the Single Annual Form (SUA-CdS)
  • analyzing and compiling the Annual Monitoring Form (SMA)
  • editing the Cyclical Review Report and monitoring the progress of the proposed improvement activities
  • analyzing the reports and requests from students, faculty, TA staff consistently with the procedures established by the University
  • disseminate within the LSC the culture of educational quality and self-evaluation
  • analyze teaching evaluation questionnaires, Almalaurea questionnaires and other information sources (ex. questionnaires from institutions or host companies)
  • monitor student careers

Teaching Commission

It is in charge of:

  • revising periodically the training course based on data and indications from monitoring activities and organizing its delivery, also taking into account the needs of facilities and services
  • verifying the congruity between CFUs and teaching load and progression in semesters
  • carrying out the harmonization of the programs of training activities

  • revise periodically the access requirements and arrangements for mid-term and final reviews

Steering Committee

It is responsible for:

  • expressing the needs from society and the world of work and culture
  • providing an opinion between the consistency of the course of study and specific training activities with the demand for training

The Steering Committee meets involving, when necessary, other committees or members of the CCS (faculty and/or technical staff and/or student representatives) or the Department, external stakeholders.

Contact person for students with disabilities or specific learning disorders

The contact person for students with disabilities or DSA, while actively cooperating with the LOD, operates at the DAD level. Appointment and assignment of functions therefore occur at the Department level.

She is in charge of working with the University's Services Sector for Students with Disabilities and Students with DSA to ensure that those eligible who request it have access to the services dedicated to them, as provided for in Article 3 of the University Service Charter for Students with Disabilities and Title III of the University Regulations for Services to Students with Disabilities.

Responsible for internships, traineeships and job orientation

It is in charge of:

  • organizing the collection of questionnaires and opinions of the institutions at which internships and placements have been carried out
  • organizing activities to promote orientation to the world of work (meetings with companies, etc.)

  • updating and verifying the information on the study course website
  • checking that transparency requirements are met

It is responsible for:

  • managing class schedules so as to avoid overlapping

Responsible for international activities

The Head of International Activities works in coordination with the Erasmus Commission of DAD and the Internationalization Commission of the Polytechnic School, of which he is a member.

She is responsible for:

  • promoting and coordinating outgoing and incoming student mobility through all international mobility programs
  • promoting faculty mobility and internationalization of the LSC through outward promotional activities
  • coordinating the activities of the Office of International Relations Architecture

Joint School Committee

Responsible for departmental mentoring activities

The Department's Head of Tutoring Activities works in coordination with the faculty liaison for the CdS, the Orientation and Tutoring Commission of the Polytechnic School and the University's In-Place Orientation and Tutoring Sector.

He is in charge of:

  • coordinating and organizing the activities of the reception tutors for the conduct of freshmen mentoring activities
  • coordinating and organizing the activities of the teaching tutors for the conduct of tutoring and didactic-integrative, preparatory and remedial activities

Responsible
of orientation

The Department's Orientation Officer works in coordination with the DAD Orientation and Communication Commission, the Orientation and Tutoring Commission of the Polytechnic School, the University's Undergraduate Studies Orientation Sector, the University's In-Place Orientation and Tutoring Sector, and the University's Placement and Job Guidance Services Sector.

He is in charge of:

Inbound Orientation

  • Participating in and contributing to orientation activities for prospective students: DAD Short Course Guide, Open Week, Open Day, Orientation Fair, mock admission tests for degree programs with programmed number, Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO) (formerly Alternanza Scuola Lavoro)
  • organize activities to promote the CdS externally

Ingoing Orientation

  • individual interviews for students for orientation and re-orientation
  • Regulant Project: A common and coordinated action at the University level in order to promote a decrease in the phenomenon of dropout, through actions of specific support to students during the first year

Outbound Orientation

  • events aimed at the presentation of job and internship offers

  • evaluating individual study plans and plan change requests submitted by students by the set deadline
  • evaluating student paperwork for course of study transition and recognition of previous career

  • evaluating students' applications and proceeding to record the CFUs corresponding to the hours performed according to the types of activities
