Admission requirements

You can enter this course if you have earned a bachelor's degree or equivalent (pre-doctoral degree, university diploma - 3 years, school directed for special purposes - 3 years), if you meet the curricular requirements, and if you pass the prerequisite check.

Curricular requirements

To enrol on this degree course, you must meet the following curricular requirements:

  • You must have a degree, a laurea specialistica or laurea magistrale, pursuant to DM 509/1999 or DM 270/2004, or a five-year degree (prior to DM 509/1999), obtained from an Italian university or an equivalent qualification;
  • .
  • Possession of at least 36 cfu, or equivalent knowledge, acquired in any university course (Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Master's Degree of first and second level) in the scientific-disciplinary sectors indicated for the basic training activities envisaged by the Degrees of Engineering Classes L-7, L-8, L-9;
  • .
  • Possession of at least 45 CFUs, or equivalent knowledge, acquired in any university course (Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Master's Degree of first and second level) in the scientific-disciplinary sectors indicated for the basic training activities envisaged by the Engineering Degree Classes L-7, L-8, L-9
  • A knowledge of the English language at level B2 is required. This knowledge is tested according to the procedures described in the course's didactic regulations.

The curricular requirements must be met before the individual's preparation is verified. The modalities of such verification are defined in the Didactic Regulation of the Course of Study.

You automatically fulfil the requirements if you have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from UniGe.

If you graduated from UniGe with a recent degree (formerly DM 509) and your degree meets the curricular requirements, you should directly link to the Online Services.

If you graduated from UniGe with a recent degree (formerly DM 509) and your degree meets the curricular requirements, you should directly link to the Online Services.

If you are a UniGe graduate but your degree does not automatically meet the curricular requirements or you graduated from another university, you must:

  1. Connect to the UniGe Online Service
  2. .
  3. Upload your study career (only for students coming from other universities), including a summary of the exams you have taken with an indication, for each subject, of the scientific and disciplinary sectors and the relative CFUs to verify the curricular requirements.
    . On this occasion you will have to choose the date on which you will present yourself for the Verification of Initial Preparation.

    N.B. Documents must be uploaded within 10 days of the date on which you intend to participate.

The result of the verification of the curricular requirements will be communicated to you before the date scheduled for the verification of initial preparation.

If you do not pass the curricular requirements check, you will not be able to take the initial preparation test. In this case you will be suggested a "bridging career" to fill in the highlighted curricular gaps.

If, on the other hand, you do not pass the initial preparation test, you will be able to take the test for a different Master's degree or apply for a subsequent test.

If you are a UniGe graduate but your degree does not automatically meet the curricular requirements or you graduated from another university, you must:

You can take the initial preparation test even if you have not yet graduated, as long as you have already passed all the exams and your career meets the curricular requirements.

In this case, after you have pre-registered, you must log on to Unige's Online Services and choose the date on which you would like to take the initial preparation test.
