Transfer from another national university to the University of Genoa

Students wishing to transfer to the University of Genoa on a course not subject to a programmed number of places must:

  1. submit a transfer application to the Student secretariat of the university of origin by the deadline set annually by the University
  2. pre-register online for the course of your choice within the deadline set annually by the University and confirm online your enrolment within the same deadline.

A student intending to transfer to the University of Genoa in a course with a number of courses for the first time must:

  1. pre-register online to take the admission test for the course of your choice within the deadlines indicated in the course announcements
  2. pass the admission test and be successful in the competition (be in a useful position in the ranking for available places).
  3. Apply for the nulla osta (consent to transfer) by sending an email to the Student Secretariats of the University of Genoa.
    Submit a transfer application to the university of origin, attaching the authorisation obtained in Genoa.
    Confirm enrolment at the University of Genoa within the deadlines envisaged by the competition announcements.

Students intending to transfer to the University of Genoa, already enrolled in the same course programmed number at another university must:

  1. apply for the nulla osta (consent to transfer) by sending an email to the Student Secretariats of the University of Genoa
  2. The nulla osta is issued subject to the positive assessment of the request by the Study Course Council, which will take into account the availability of places for the year of the course to which the student may be admitted to continue studies.
    The interested party must send the request for authorisation to the Student Secretariats by the deadline set annually by the University(For incoming transfers relative to courses with a programmed number of students (years subsequent to the first year) may only be submitted following authorisation to be requested from UniGe by the deadline defined annually by the University). For nationally-scheduled study courses: Medicine/Dentistry/Three-year degrees in the health professions/Architecture Sciences, the authorisation to transfer is requested by following the procedure regulated by a specific notice published on the website of the courses themselves.
  3. Submit a transfer application to the university of origin, attaching the authorisation obtained in Genoa.
  4. Register to the course of your choice at the Student Secretariats of the University of Genoa.

Transfer from the University of Genoa to another national university

A student enrolled at the University of Genoa who intends to transfer to another university not a course, must submit transfer application.
The application requires the payment of a transfer fee of € 200 and a € 16 fee payable via the online procedure.
The transfer application can be submitted from July onwards and within the deadlines for ordinary enrolment, in order not to incur late fees. The student must also meet the deadlines in force at the university of destination.

Students intending to transfer to another university to a course programmed number, must check the availability of places at the university of destination, which may issue a so-called nulla osta  this document must must be attached to the transfer application to be submitted as described above.

Course transitions

Students enrolled in a course at the University of Genoa who have not withdrawn their studies may use the career they have already pursued in the event of transfer to another course (the career already pursued may be used for the new course or, in the event of transfer without validation of the previous career, it may be retained and used in the future, in the event of other enrolments).

  • pre-register online to the new course 
  • Before enrolling in the new course (transfer) or in the new order of the same course (option), which must be carried out within the deadlines set or indicated in the announcements in the case of courses with a programmed number of places, on pain of loss of place, the student must pay any fees that may be due for the academic year in which he or she was enrolled and the reconnaissance fee for the academic years in which he or she was not enrolled
  • within 15 days from the confirmation of enrolment, the student shall request the recognition of the educational activities already completed through the appropriate online procedure

The assessment of the previous university career is carried out by resolution of the study course Council, which identifies the part of the career that is confirmed, determining the number and type of training credits still to be acquired and the possible admission to years subsequent to the first.

In any case, for courses with a programmed number of places, it is necessary to enrol in the first year of the course within the established deadlines, after having passed the relative admission test and to be usefully placed in the ranking.

 

Deadlines
