History of philosophy is a discipline with a long tradition in Italy. It is based on a critical-philological method and it studies the major philosophical traditions and their specific problems, providing a thorough contextualization.
Having a solid, direct knowledge of major classics of the history of philosophy through a critical approach to the most important texts (an approach that focuses on contexts, on conceptual systems and on argumentative strategies of texts).
