Titre/Title: Eléments de linguistique française

Le cours concourt à offrir les connaissances de base dans le domaine de la linguistique, notamment de la linguistique française et francophone.

Le cours peut avoir une valeur de 9 CFU (module théorique+lectorats) ou de 6 CFU (lectorat)

The course offers the basic notions in the field of French and Francophone linguistics.

The course may be selected for 9 CFU (theoretical module + practical exercises) or for 6 CFU (practical exercises only)

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

A la fin du cours, les étudiants auront acquis des connaissances de base et des compétences d'analyse du français standard (en particulier en ce qui concerne ses aspects phonologiques et morphologiques). Le cours prévoit des heures de travaux dirigés, données par des locuteurs natifs, et sur ​​plusieurs niveaux, visant à l'apprentissage de la langue au niveau B1 du CECR. L'étudiant devra également avoir acquis les connaissances de base et des compétences liées à l'analyse métalinguistique.

At the end of the course students will have acquired basic knowledge and skills in the French language ( in particular with regard to its phonological and morphological aspects), with the support of practical courses, taught by native speakers of French linguistic associates, and over several levels, aimed at learning the practical level B1 language. The student will also have acquired basic knowledge and skills related to the metalinguistic analysis.

A la fin du cours, l'étudiant :
- aura acquis des connaissances de base dans la discipline de la linguistique française ;
- sera en mesure de maîtriser les outils descriptifs pour l'étude du système phonologique, morphologique, lexicologique du français standard.

At the end of the course, the student:
- Will have acquired basic knowledge in the discipline of the French language and French linguistics;
- Will be able to master the language of descriptive tools for the study of the phonological, morphological, lexical system of standard French.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Le cours vise à fournir un aperçu général du système linguistique du français standard, avec une attention particulière pour la phonologie, la morphologie, la lexicologie. Une attention particulière sera consacrée à la relation entre les normes et les variations (diatopique, diastratique, diaphasique) dans la langue française.

The course aims to provide a general overview of the language-system with regard to the standard French, with an emphasis on phonology, morphology, lexicology. Particular attention will be devoted to the relationship between standards and variation (diatopic, diastratic, diaphasic) in modern French.

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Pour le module théorique : Examen écrit à la fin du module. Le test final comprendra des questions fermées, et au moins trois questions ouvertes courtes, dont les réponses seront fournies en français. Note sur trente.

Examen de lectorat: test écrit effectué à l'ordinateur.

For the theoretical module : Written exam at the end of the module. The final test will include closed-ended questions and at least three open-ended short questions, the answers to which will be made in French. Rating out of thirty.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

L'épreuve écrite du module théorique vise à vérifier l'acquisition des connaissances théoriques liées aux aspects fondamentaux de la langue; les compétences dans l'exposition (précision et exhaustivité), ainsi que la capacité de fournir des exemples concrets seront également testées. L'examen vérifiera les aspects traités pendant le cours, en mettant l'accent sur ​​les connaissances disciplinaires, sur les compétences de synthèse et l'organisation de l'information écrite.

L'épreuve écrite du lectorat vise à la certification du niveau B1 du CECR.

The written test on the theoretical module aims to verify the acquisition of theoretical knowledge related to the fundamentals of the French language, and the expertise to expose them in a precise and exhaustive way, including through concrete examples. 

The exam will test all aspects dealt with during the course, with an emphasis on the acquired subject knowledge, on synthesis skills and written information organization.

Practical exercises (lettorato): the exam will test the B1 skills (Common European Framework)
