OVERVIEW

The following is an integrated course consisting of five disciplinary modules: internal Medicine and first aid, Geriatrics and gerontology, respiratory system Diseases, Odontostomatology, Pediatrics. 

 

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Acquiring general concepts concerning childhood (development and its pathologies) and advanced age (theories on aging, biological and social aging, phenomenology of aging, fragility of geriatric patient). Knowing speech therapy implications of respiratory and odontostomatologic diseases and having knowledge of the main and most frequent internistic pathologies in their future patients.
