OVERVIEW

The course is focused on the scientific foundations of General Pedagogy, understood as science of self-formation, education and cultural instruction of the human being

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course has, as main purposes, the acquisition of foundational knowledge related to General Pedagogy and the understanding of its objects of study.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The acquisition of appropriate knowledges and abilities in the process of comprehension regarding the scientific foundations of Pedagogy General and its objects of study is revolved to improve the skills to understand, interpret and deal with the problems associated with the self-formation, education and cultural instruction of the human being, during the life, from early childhood to senility.

TEACHING METHODS

Lessons are conducted in the presence of the teacher and have mainly character of lectures. Within the course, group activities and seminars can be provided.

 

For Students of the Dipartimento di Girisprudenza (Unige): 

Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), disabilities or other educational needs are invited to contact the teacher and the Department's disability liaison officer at the beginning of the course to agree on any teaching methods that, in accordance with the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning styles. Students who are unable to attend for certified reasons of work, serious and certified health or family reasons may ask the teacher for access to the recordings of the lectures, without prejudice to the teacher's freedom to grant or deny access.

 

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The program of the course will consist, mainly, in the following contents: self-formation, education and cultural instruction as objects of study of General Pedagogy; the questions of logic, language and method in Pedagogy; the Pedagogical Sciences, the Educational Sciences and the Formation Sciences; intra-disciplinarity, inter-disciplinarity and trans-disciplinarity in Pedagogy.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Exam is written. The written exam is finalized to verify acquired knowledge by the Students and their critical capabilities in the elaboration of the learned contents.

Evaluation criteria: relevance of contents, argumentation of acquired knowledge, logical coherence, language properties, critical-problematic ability.

The exams take place at the Department of Scienze della Formazione (Genoa, Corso A. Podestà, 2). The classroom, assigned by the office, will be indicated both on the University portal "Easyacademy" and on the screens at the entrance to the Department, on the day of the exam.

The exam dates are indicated on the Aulaweb page.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam is written. It lasts 60 minutes and is organized into a small number of open questions. During the course of the examination, students can consult books in the program.

Students have to attend the exam with the program of the current academic year in, even if they are enrolled in previous academic years. In the case of insufficient results, students will have to attend the exam again in the same manner.

Examination procedures are the same also for non-attending students.
