The course in brief

Presentation

The three-year course of study in Philosophy includes within it several research directions:

  • epistemological
  • historical-theoretical
  • ethical-political
  • psycho-pedagogical

Advances critical and in-depth knowledge of the history of philosophical and scientific thought through reading classic works and thematic exercises.

Prepares for the analysis of problems and the use of argumentative modes for the formation of critical judgment on the subjects under study.

Learning by doing

Frontal lectures, seminar meetings and written reports on the main classical works.

Exercises on texts in the original language.

Participation in conferences organised by the Department of Antiquities, Philosophy and History (DAFIST) and the School.

Where we are

The headquarters of the School of Humanities and its related departments are located in the area around Via Balbi and Piazza della Nunziata. Some of these palazzi are historical palaces of the city of Genoa, known as 'Palazzi dei Rolli'.
