What are The course of study includes the obligation to acquire CFUs by performingOther Activities that are closely related to your university course and useful for your placement in the world of work. You can enter the code for Other Activities in your syllabus indifferently in your first or second year. N.B.The Other Activities can be carried outat any time during the two years but you can only request their recognition provided that you have entered the corresponding code in your study plan. If you have not entered it, you will still be able to carry out activities that are useful for earning Other Credits.To submit documentation you will have to wait until the following academic year, when you enter the code for the educational activity in your plan. Remember to read the School Regulations and the Study Manifesto carefully.
Recognized activities To acquire the single compulsory CFU you can choose between: participation in one of the laboratories organised by the School (available on the website at the page student-laboratories) or by other courses related to the Department; participation in a laboratory organised by other universities or other scientific institutions, in Italy or abroad, provided that it is relevant to the subject of the School the period of stay abroad at university sites (e.g. participation in the Erasmus programme) carried out in accordance with the procedures established by the University. Supernumerary recognition is permitted in the event that you have already obtained the credit required for the other knowledge the participation in conferences and seminars, also cumulative, strictly related to curricular training, provided that they are initiatives organised by the University or initiatives previously recognised by the BoD as valid for the acquisition of CFUs or initiatives of particular scientific relevance in the judgement of the "Other credits" Commission. The Commission reserves the right to judge freely also in the event that the activities are regularly recognised by other degree courses;. participation in Summer Schools or training courses organised by universities or other scientific institutions, in Italy or abroad, provided that they are pertinent to the subject matter of the degree course;. participation in study trips that have received prior recognition by the CdS; informatics courses or related courses in a foreign language (other than English and corresponding to at least a B1 level), attested by certificates issued by bodies recognised by the University or by an appropriate public and/or private institute, in Italy or abroad, with proof of passing the relevant test, provided that they were obtained after enrolment or pre-enrolment in the degree course; . Student representation activities in University bodies (Course Council, Department Council, various committees): 1 CFU for activities equal to 25 hours of attendance at meetings and gatherings. You may also choose to add the CFU of other activities to the 3 CFU of Internships, bringing the latter from 75 to 100 hours. We advise you to submit documentation proving the completion of the other activities at least three months prior to the date scheduled for the discussion of your thesis. Incomplete or incorrectly completed dossiers (e.g. lack of the registration year and the code to which the placements and other activities refer in the study plan) will not be examined. N.B. Only those credits accrued from the date of enrolment or pre-enrolment in the degree course will be recognised as useful for the achievement of the CFUs necessary for the completion of the degree course; however, any credits acquired in excess of the 180 prescribed for the degree course may be recognised. CFU Recognition To apply for the recognition of other credits, you must submit the Internship/Internships and Other Activities Commission, at least three months before the final discussion, the specific form with a paper trail stating: the activity performed and/or competence acquired the duration of the activity You may also submit a self-certification concerning the duration of the training activities. In this case, the Commission, proceeding with spot checks, may request formal documentation from you later.
