The scheduled holidays for the 2026/2027 academic year are:

• 4 October 2026 – Feast of St Francis 
• 1 November 2026 – All Saints’ Day
• 7 and 8 December 2026 – Feast of the Immaculate Conception 
• from 23 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 inclusive – Christmas holidays
• from 25 to 30 March 2027 inclusive – Easter holidays
• 25 April 2027 – Liberation Day
• 1 May 2027 – Labour Day
• 2 June 2027 – Republic Day
• 24 June 2027 – Feast of St John, Patron Saint of Genoa

The preparatory courses for the Master’s degree programme in Advanced Materials Science and Technology begin on 7 September.

Students who are (pre-)enrolled but have not received an information email are asked to contact davide.peddis@unige.it.

First-semester lectures:

International curriculum:

First-semester lectures: 14 September 2026 – 22 December 2026

Break: 23/12/2026 – 06/01/2027

Second-semester lectures: 

Break: 25/03/2027 – 2 April 2027

Exams may be scheduled on any non-public holiday on which no lectures are scheduled for the student’s chosen curriculum.
       
Closures: the closure periods set out in the national and regional calendars shall apply.
