Final project

What is

In order to be admitted to the final examination, you must have duly attended the training activities and obtained the credits prescribed by the regulations.

You must also pass tests relating to knowledge of:

  • one European foreign language (you will acquire these credits through the recognition of certificates issued by structures specifically competent for each of the chosen languages)
  • .
  • basics of computer science

The final examination consists of the public discussion, before a committee, of a paper on a topic agreed upon with the supervisor.

The application to take part in the final examination must be submitted at least 30 days before the date scheduled for the discussion of the paper.

What to do to graduate

If you are an undergraduate, you must:

  1. Choose the degree session
  2. Deposit the title of your thesis
  3. Fill out the degree application online
  4. Fill out the AlmaLaurea questionnaire online
  5. Return the books to the library, if you’ve borrowed any
  6. Fill out the questionnaire for assessment of the didactic activity

Remember:

  1. Check that you are current on your tax payments
  2. Pay the stamp duty of € 16 for the issuance of the degree certificate via the online services Payment of fees and contributions
  3. Check that you have completed all the exams and training activities and ensure that these are all recorder on your online career no later than 15 days before the date of your graduation

Evaluation

The final score is formed by:

  • curriculum score (prepared by the central bodies of UniGe)
  • 2 additional points if you are a current graduate
  • .
  • up to a maximum of 7 points for your final paper (assigned by the committee)
  • 1 point for study periods abroad, recognised by the same degree course, of at least 3 months

When the score reaches (or exceeds) 110, the committee may unanimously award the lode upon the rapporteur's proposal.

N.B.You can only graduate if you have obtained a mark of not less than 66 out of 110.

Technical Directions.

For the graduation session you must:

  • print a hard copy of your paper to present to the committee
  • present your thesis with a slides presentation:
    • insert key concepts
    • avoid the premises and general considerations readable on the hard copy
