What is The Assessment of Adequacy of Personal Readiness is the tool provided by the Educational Regulations to assess your preparation for the purpose of matriculation to the Master's Degree.
Who should conduct the Verification You are exempt from verification if you have obtained a final mark of 100/110 or higher in a degree in the following classes: L-17 Architectural Sciences (ex DM 270/04) LM-4 Architecture and Building Engineering (ex DM 270/04) 04 Architectural and Building Engineering Sciences (ex DM 509/99) 4/S Architecture and building engineering (formerly DM 509/99) Personal background check is compulsory if you are an undergraduate enrolled in a degree course in class L-17, a graduate with a degree obtained abroad or if you are a graduate in class L-17 (ex DM 270/04), LM-4 (ex DM 270/04) or 04/S (ex DM 509/99) and have a degree mark of less than or equal to 99/110. Undergraduate candidates If you are an undergraduate, you must: be enrolled in a degree course in the L-17 Science of Architecture class (ex DM 270/2004). have acquired at least 154 out of 180 CFUs by the date of the personal preparation test; only to appear at the last test, you must have acquired all the credits, except those for the final exam. For enrolment in the academic year 2024/2025 you must graduate by the deadlines indicated by the University (EU and non-EU students with a foreign degree must graduate by 15 August 2024). If you have a degree obtained abroad, you must prove that you have knowledge of the Italian language. You can present a certificate of at least B2 level; on the page of the University's Language Skills Development (CLAT) website you will find the conditions for the validity of certificates. If you do not have a valid certificate, you will have to take the initial test organised by CLAT. Please note: If you do not reach at least level A2 in the Italian language test, you will not be able to enrol in an Italian language course at the University of Genoa. If you obtain at least level A2 in the test, but do not reach level B2, you will be awarded an additional educational activity in Italian in the first year of your course and you will have to attendthe free and compulsory Italian language courses organised by CLAT. Completion of the additional educational activities in Italian is a condition for enrolment in the second year of the course. How to access To take the Verification of Adequacy of Graduate Personal Readiness you must do the pre-registration so as to be on the lists of students who must take the test. Following that, if the test is successful, you must confirm your matriculation. For pre-registration and the test you will not have to pay anything. Payment of the registration fee and regional fee is due at the time of confirmation of registration. You must pay the registration fee and regional fee. N.B.: Pre-registration and verification of personal preparation adequacy are free of charge. Payment of the application fee and regional fee is expected at the time of confirmation of registration. How it works The examination consists of an interview with the Commission to verify the curricular requirements and personal preparedness of the candidates for admission to the master's degree, the subject of which is a discussion of the curriculum vitae and a portfolio submitted by the candidate. The resume must be written in tabular form and not exceed the size of 4 A4 pages. The portfolio must contain at least 3 papers, including the final thesis paper, and consist of a maximum of 6 pages in A3 format. The outcome of the examination will include the indication "admitted," "admitted with reservation," or "not admitted." This outcome will be published on the course of study website. To be admitted to the interview, you must pre-register online.. If you are successful, you will receive by e-mail the name of the interview room and the code to access the Microsoft Teams platform. To prepare you In the interview for admission to the master's degree program, one considers one's achievements in the previous bachelor's degree program and assesses the maturity and motivation of applicants. Therefore, to prepare for the interview, it is necessary not to study but to take stock of one's career as a student. The interview should be taken as an opportunity to review and critically rethink the path followed and its outcomes, including in terms of personal satisfaction, glimpsing possible developments and identifying possible shortcomings in order to more consciously direct oneself in the future.
