The classes will mainly focus on the history, definition, skills and intervention models of Clinical Psychology, on the bio-psycho-social model, on the conception of the patient by care professionals, on communication, above all with respect to the severe prognosis and the burn-out phenomenon. Learning outcomes: a – Knowledges: - to learn the basics of the psychological approach to health and well-being; - to know the main psychological orientations in the field of health and illness. b - Application skills - to acquire the basic tools to be able to compare with further investigations in the field of social sciences; - to learn to observing and understanding the social reality in which they live as citizens and in which they work as health professionals. c - Transversal skills - to develop a personal and argued point of view on some relevant issues in the clinical psychology’s field; - to acquire the technical language typical of the discipline in order to communicate clearly and unambiguously with specialist and non-specialist interlocutors. TEACHING METHODS The course is delivered online and with online assistance for its entire duration. It includes in-depth activities in presence, cared by teachers who are experts in the subject. It is divided into modules consisting of video lessons, videos and slides. At the end of each teaching unit there is a self-evaluation test, which aims to reinforce the key concepts by reflecting on the contents and facilitating the preparation for the final exam, in presence. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The course is divided into three teaching modules, which are entirely online.
