OVERVIEW

The course is divided into two modules.
The first module will provide an overview of the most significant sociological theories on gender, with particular attention to the origins of the concept, as well as to stereotypes and the social representations of gender roles.
The second module will focus on the main feminist legal approaches, as well as on legislative and case-law developments concerning discrimination based on gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, with particular attention also to so-called intersectional discriminations.
