OFA

Entrance Tests and Additional Educational Obligations (OFAs)

In order to be admitted to a degree programme with fixed number of students, it is necessary to take an entrance test. Even if you pass the test and are admitted, those who score below a predetermined minimum threshold will receive Additional Educational Obligations (OFAs).

The OFAs consist of specific activities designed to help students fill any gaps in their basic knowledge. They must be completed within the first year of the course and are organised directly by the degree course.

The OFAs are specific activities designed to help students fill any gaps in their basic knowledge.

Covering OFAs is important for a more confident approach to university examinations. All information on how to make up the OFAs will be provided by the degree course after admission.

How is OFA recovered?

  1. The teachers of the subjects covered by OFAs provide students with OFAs with additional teaching materials or other materials that can be used online, on Aulaweb, or organise special remedial courses; the specific information for each course of study is published on Aulaweb or on the course website.
  2. .
  3. Overcoming of the OFA is normally achieved by means of a test conducted prior to taking the relative exam, or during the exam itself.
  4. The OFA is usually passed by means of a test conducted prior to taking the relative exam, or during the exam itself.
  5. The OFA is in any case deemed to have been met with the passing of the relative examination.

What if I do not make up the OFAs by the end of the first year?

Those who have not passed their OFAs by October of the calendar year following the year of enrolment will be enrolled as 1st year repeaters until the OFA is passed, and will not be able to take 2nd year examinations.
