Final project

What is

For admission to the graduate examination, you must have completed all the credits required by the educational regulations of your degree program.

The final examination consists of the presentation of an experimental thesis, before a committee, prepared under the guidance of a supervisor and one or more co-rapporteurs.

The paper may be a project or research paper.

In the final examination you will have to demonstrate that you:

  • have developed awareness of the topics covered
  • have analytical and synthesis skills, a critical sense and autonomy of judgment
  • have expressive skills both written and oral
  • know how to identify the objectives and perspectives for your education.

What to do to graduate

If you are an undergraduate, you must:

  1. Choose the degree session
  2. Enter the title of your thesis

  7. In case you have books on loan, return them to the library
  8. .
  9. Fill out the questionnaire to evaluate your study course

  3. Pay the stamp tax of € 16 for the issuance of the degree diploma (pay here)
  4. .
  5. Check that you have taken all your exams and training activities
  6. Check that they are all marked on your online career no later than 15 days before the date of your graduation session

Evaluation

The evaluation of the final examination by the committee is calculated by taking into account:

  • the weighted average of exam grades, taking as weight the number of credits associated with the individual educational activity
  • from 0 to 6 points for the final examination

If you have spent a period of study abroad, lasting at least one semester and involving recognition of educational credits, you will be added1 point to the weighted average.

The final test is passed if you obtained a grade of not less than 66 points out of 110.

Withdrawal of parchments

The collection of Degree, Master's, Doctorate and Postgraduate Parchments for all schools takes place by appointment at the 'UniGe World' premises at Via Balbi 40-42 r - ground floor (opposite Via Balbi 5).
