OVERVIEW
The course is focused on the scientific foundations of General Pedagogy, understood as science of self-formation, education and cultural instruction of the human being
AIMS AND CONTENT
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The course has, as main purposes, the acquisition of foundational knowledge related to General Pedagogy and the understanding of its objects of study.
AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
The acquisition of appropriate knowledges and abilities in the process of comprehension regarding the scientific foundations of Pedagogy General and its objects of study is revolved to improve the skills to understand, interpret and deal with the problems associated with the self-formation, education and cultural instruction of the human being, during the life, from early childhood to senility.
TEACHING METHODS
Lessons are conducted in the presence of the teacher and have mainly character of lectures. Within the course, group activities and seminars can be provided.
SYLLABUS/CONTENT
The program of the course will consist, mainly, in the following contents: self-formation, education and cultural instruction as objects of study of General Pedagogy; the questions of logic, language and method in Pedagogy; the Pedagogical Sciences, the Educational Sciences and the Formation Sciences; intra-disciplinarity, inter-disciplinarity and trans-disciplinarity in Pedagogy.
According to the "Sustainable Development Goals" established by the UN Agenda 2030, the Teaching is specifically committed to the promotion of "Goal 4. To provide quality, equitable and inclusive education and learning opportunities for everyone".

Ricevimento: Students reception is weekly. Prof. Giancarla Sola receives Students at the Department of Scienze della Formazione (DISFOR – Genoa, Corso A. Podestà, 2) – 3C7 Room –. At the beginning of each semester will be provided – both here and on the AulaWeb page – the overall details regarding the reception. Students can contact the Teacher writing a mail to giancarla.sola[at]unige.it or by calling – during office hours – the following phone number: 010 20953820. The Teacher is also available for online meetings, through Microsoft Teams program. In this case, it is necessary to call the Teacher during office hours to arrange an appointment. EXAMS
EXAM DESCRIPTION
Exam is written. The written exam is finalized to verify acquired knowledge by the Students and their critical capabilities in the elaboration of the learned contents.
Evaluation criteria: relevance of contents, argumentation of acquired knowledge, logical coherence, language properties, critical-problematic ability.
The exams take place at the Department of Scienze della Formazione (Genoa, Corso A. Podestà, 2). The classroom, assigned by the office, will be indicated both on the University portal "Easyacademy" and on the screens at the entrance to the Department, on the day of the exam.
ASSESSMENT METHODS
The written exam, lasting 60 minutes, is organized into a small number of open questions. During the course of the examination, students can consult books in the program.
Students have to attend the exam with the program of the current academic year in, even if they are enrolled in previous academic years. In the case of insufficient results, students will have to attend the exam again in the same manner.
Examination procedures are the same also for non-attending students.
