OVERVIEW
The course of Splanchnological Anatomy (2 CFU, 20 hours) is held in the first semester of the first year of the Program, and starts approximately at the beginning of October. It focuses on the description of the systems of the splanchnic cavities of the human body. The program also includes a general description of the locomotor system and the structures that make up the central nervous system. The presentation of these topics will follow mainly a systematic approach.
AIMS AND CONTENT
AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
The teaching of Splancnology aims to provide the student with adequate knowledge of the anatomical systems present in the splancnic cavities of the human body, starting from a macroscopic description up to the microscopic structure. Neuroanatomy and Osteo arthro muscular system will also be part of the program. In this way the student will have the basis to deepen specific topics in the field of human anatomy , and more generally to understand, along with the study of other disciplines, the normal physiology of the human organism and pathologies resulting from abnormalities in its functioning.
In the case of the Program of Medical Radiology Technicians, the Anatomy course will foresee additional Innovative Learning lessons, which will promote the following transversal skills:
- literacy-functional competence, advanced level;
- personal competence, advanced level;
- social competence, advanced level;
- learning to learn, basic level.
TEACHING METHODS
The teaching activity will consist of 20 hours of lectures, during which, with the use of visual aids, all the topics that require knowledge at the time of the final examination will be illustrated and discussed with the students .
In the sole case of the Program of Medical Radiology Technicians, to optimize training effectiveness, in addition to the 20 hours of frontal lessons, participatory teaching meetings are planned, which involve group work based on the use of 'case study'. This teaching methodology will allow students to work on literacy competence (at an advanced level), personal competence (at an advanced level), social competence (at an advanced level), and will promote their ability to learn to learn ( at a basic level).

ASSESSMENT METHODS
The learning verification takes place through the final examination that aims to ascertain the actual acquisition by the student of the expected learning results.
To pass the exam, the student has to acquire a grade of not less than 18/30.
For this module a 'test in itinere' will be available for students of the first academic year, to be held in december, and the result will be taken into account during the official 'Anatomia-Istologia' exams of the first academic year.
Students will need to demonstrate an adequate knowledge of the anatomical systems present in the splancnic cavities of the human body, from a macroscopic description up to the microscopic structure, as well as knowledge of Neuroanatomy and Osteo arthro muscular system.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The professor receives the students by previous appointment requested with an email.
