Research training course

An opportunity for the best students

The Research Training Pathway (PFR) is aimed at the preparation and education of future researchers in the biomedical field and harmonizes studies in Medicine with a background in science through a step-by-step approach to the knowledge and clinical application of basic sciences.

If you are a deserving and motivated student, the program is directed toward you and involves progressive participation in research activity that allows you to develop the ability to conceive and carry out an independent project.

During the path you will learn:

  • scientific rigor
  • methods
  • critical skills
  • and culture

so that you learn the correct approach to research problems and their solution.

Teamwork and, in parallel, leadership will be fostered, with the aim of communicating passion for research, enhancing personal skills, highlighting any critical issues and areas for improvement, and developing independent judgment and scientific creativity.

At the end of the training you will receive the Diploma Supplement: a certification of the work you have done.

How to participate

Entry requirements

  • acquisition by the autumn session of all the University Educational Credits (CFU) that can be acquired and are envisaged in the first three years
  • achievement of an examination average of not less than twenty-seven/thirty-eighths 27/30)
  • .
  • good knowledge of spoken and written English (level B2)

 

Publication of the ranking list and choice of project

By 7 April 2025, the ranking list of those admitted and the list of available projects will be published on the Degree Course in Medicine website.

On 11 April 2025,at 2:00 p.m., admitted candidates will be remotely summoned to the "Research Training Project 2024" Teams (access code: mli52q0) to choose a project, depending on their position in the ranking list.

The RFP has a programmed number of students, determined at 15 students for each cohort.

If the number of applications received exceeds the number of projects available a selection will be made on the basis of the weighted average and the number of commendations, if any. In the event of a tie, the lowest seniority shall prevail.
