AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

To provide the basic concepts for using application software and introduce students to tools for manipulating spreadsheets and producing documents. By the end of the course, students will be able to use Google Sheets and Google Docs.

TEACHING METHODS

The course is delivered primarily online asynchronously.

For this module of the integrated course, attendance is obtained by earning the course badge; this is issued after completing all online learning activities (video lectures and self-assessment quizzes) and successfully passing the final assessment tests.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The syllabus for students taking the course for 1 CFU covers only the topics in bold:

• General concepts: applications and operating systems, office automation software.
• Word processing (Google Docs): formatting, lists, styles, inserting non-text elements.
• Spreadsheets (Google Sheets): values ​​and formatting, formulas and references, data import, charts, sorting and filtering.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Online quiz to be taken in the computer lab (alongside other modules of the integrated course). To be admitted to the exam, students must have achieved at least 70% attendance for the entire integrated course.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Knowledge assessment takes place via a quiz-style exam conducted in a computer lab.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Holders of an ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) certification may be exempted from taking the exam for this course.
